Early Years at GTAIS
A Joyful Beginning to Learning
At GTAIS, our Early Years program is designed to help young children grow, explore, and discover. We focus on developing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically—so they can become confident learners with curiosity about the world around them.
Our learning approach is based on six key areas:
- Language and Literacy
- Numeracy
- Motor Skills Development
- Social and Emotional Development
- Aesthetics and Creative Expression
- Discovery of the World
These areas provide a strong foundation for future learning while helping children understand themselves and others.
How Children Learn in Early Years
Inquiry-Based and Play-Based Learning
Children learn best through play, exploration, and hands-on activities. At GTAIS, teachers create a safe and engaging environment where children can:
- Ask questions
- Try new ideas
- Investigate and discover
- Work together with friends
- Learn through real experiences
Teachers act as guides and facilitators, helping children make connections and build their own understanding. Learning is meaningful, enjoyable, and suited to each child’s age and development.
A Learning Environment That Supports Every Child
Our classrooms allow children to:
- Explore different learning styles
- Work at their own pace
- Share ideas and feelings
- Practice teamwork
- Respect different viewpoints
Children learn how things work, how to solve problems, and how to understand cause and effect. They begin to see themselves as capable learners.
Our Curriculum: Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) Framework – Singapore
(Ages 3–4)
GTAIS uses the Nurturing Early Learners (NEL) Framework, created by Singapore’s Ministry of Education. This internationally respected framework is known for its high quality and strong focus on whole‑child development.
