The inaugural cohort of international students joined the Affiliated International School in the fall of 2019. We are grateful for the partnership between the Shantou government, Education Bureau, GTIIT, Shantou University, and ISS-ULink, which has led to the development of our innovative program. The framework for AIS/ABS is unique, as is our location on the GTIIT university campus. I can think of no better place for our children to develop the essential 21st century skills of compassion 仁, integrity 义, wisdom 智, courage 勇, and discipline 洁.
We are currently serving students up to Grade 8. Additional grades will be added in subsequent years through Grade 12. We offer a U.S.-style, English medium curriculum for Preschool to Grade 8.
The school started its operation in the GTIIT North Campus temporary facility and will move to the new South Campus, in the fall of 2023.
GTIIT-Affiliated International School is a private, co-educational day-school located adjacent to the GTIIT (The Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology) campus, in Shantou, Guangdong, China. The school will house two programs: the international program (AIS) for children of overseas expatriates, and the bilingual program (ABS) for children of Chinese nationals.
