It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as I step into the role of Director at GTAIS. I am honoured to join this vibrant and diverse community renowned for its dedication to learning, holistic education, and fostering globally minded learners.

Throughout my 30-year career as an international educator, I have been privileged to work in dynamic and multicultural environments across four continents. My journey has included serving as Head of School, Principal, and Accreditation Chair for esteemed organizations such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Council of International Schools (CIS), and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). These experiences have shaped my unwavering commitment to creating inclusive, innovative, student-centered learning environments where every child can thrive.

I have been involved in strategic school development, curriculum innovation, and community engagement throughout my career. Whether leading schools through accreditation processes, guiding curriculum reforms such as implementing the IB Primary Years Programme, or navigating challenges like the SARS epidemic in China, I have consistently sought to balance visionary leadership with a collaborative and empathetic approach.

At the core of my educational philosophy lies a belief in the power of relationships by being invitational. Building trust, fostering optimism, and nurturing respect among students, staff, and families are foundational to creating a cohesive and thriving learning community. I am committed to working with you to uphold and enhance GTAIS's mission, ensuring our students have the skills, knowledge, and attitudes they need to excel in an ever-changing world.

As we embark on this journey together, I am eager to listen, learn, and contribute to the ongoing success of GTAIS. In the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting many of you—students, parents, faculty, and staff—and hearing your aspirations and ideas for our school's future. Together, I am confident that we can continue to build on the strong foundations of GTAIS and strive for even more significant achievements.
